Color Terminology Pixel: Each dot in a picture or graphic Resolution: The number of dots that make up an image on a screen or printer Reverse: Black background on white foreground Saturation: Purity of color

Communicating with Color Color in a publication can elicit feelings, emphasize important text, and attract attention Choose one or two colors Use “spot color” by using color only in specific areas
