5.  Lesson 12- Social-Emotional Teaching Strategies I  Objective 11-12  There has been a change in language to focus on the behavior not the child.  Old definition: Bullying– one child who repeatedly and deliberately intimidates or abuses another child.  New definition: Bullying– the act of repeatedly or deliberately intimidating and/or abusing another person.  Throughout the whole discussion of bullying behavior, there are several areas where language was modified for clarity to the reader that bullying is the behavior. Labeling children as bullies in preschool is not developmentally appropriate. BULLY LANGUAGE
