ABOUT World's largest coral reef system. The Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia. Around 2600 kilometres in length. Over 900 islands. Can be seen from outer space. Over two million visitors each year.

LIFE IN THE GREAT BARRIER REEF Over 1500 spieces of fish 215 species of birds 350 spieces of hard corals 26 spieces of whales and dolphins 100 spieces of starfish 15 spieces of sea snakes

INTERESTING FACTS The Great Barrier Reef is greater in size than the United Kingdom, Holland and Switzerland combined. Around 10 percent of the world's total fish species can be found just within the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is composed of over 2,900 individual reef. The reef is one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
