2 Georgia Tech in a public research institution located in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to the Atlanta and Savannah campuses in Georgia, there are several international campuses in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

3 Did You Know? Six colleges with more than 30 schools and degree programs. Total Enrollment: 20,207 (as of March 2014) – 13,482 undergraduate – 6,725 graduate students. 2,647 faculty members (Georgia Institute of Technology, 2014)

10 Organizational and Administrative Structure

11 Governance Georgia Tech is governed by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, which is the single governing and management authority. Its 19 members elect a chancellor who serves as its chief executive officer and the chief administrative officer of the University System.

12 Evaluation: Academic Affairs The Board of Regents has approved policies related to academic affairs. However, the faculty governing body within the institution has responsibilities in matters of academic affairs as well.

14 Led by a Vice President of Student Affairs Comprised of 19 departments. Their mission: Enriching the academic, personal and professional growth of all Georgia Tech students. Strive to promote the intellectual, social and emotional growth of our students through programs that promote leadership, healthy living, student transition and success, and cultural awareness and educational growth

15 Evaluation: Administration 7,660 faculty and staff President, President’s Cabinet, and Deans, which include those from the six colleges. There are 39 senior administrators within the institution.

16 Evaluation: Governance Governed by the Board of Regents Faculty Governance within the institution Responsible for: -Their own governance and that of the students -Student affairs and activities -Creating committees as may be required; -Prescribing of academic and scholarship regulations, - Establishing requirements for graduation; -Creating other regulations necessary for the maintenance of high educational standards.
