Thermal versus Dynamic Breakup Breakup is influenced by both thermal (meteorological) and dynamic (hydraulic) processes. Dynamic Breakup Breakup is strongly influenced by dynamic (hydraulic) factors – usually associated with a large snowmelt runoff event.
