Family Life Nest Description: eggs are laid in a communal nest called Dump Nest Incubation period: takes about 42 days for an Ostrich eggs to hatch Parenting roles: the father stays with the chicks and the chicks follow the mother Eggs laid: about 15 eggs but through out the year its about 60 eggs.
