If the centrists in both camps can gain power and work together then peace is possible. The 1977 and 1993 peace agreements show that peace can happen and that, if the sides agree, peace can be lasting. b)NO. The conflict is so rooted in history that it will never end. There is no way the extremists on either side of the conflict will ever let peace ensue unless they destroy their enemies.

The U.S. should use its position as an ally of both Israel and Saudi Arabia to broker a peace deal in the region. b)NO. The U.S. should not get involved in a disagreement between other countries, and should stop trying to act as the world's policeman.

It shows that the U.S. is strong willed and will protect its interests and support its allies (including Israel) in the region when it is forced to do so. b)It is hurting the situation. The U.S. is showing itself as an aggressor, and that is not what is needed to help quell the conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians.
