Advises the Government on national research, innovation and enterprise strategies Chaired by the Prime Minister, and comprises of other Ministers, prominent captains of industry, and internationally renowned individuals from the scientific and academic communities

National Research Foundation Set up in Jan 2006 Initial funding of S$5 billion for 2006- 2010 Implements strategies approved by RIEC Allocates funding to programmes that meet the NRF strategic objectives
