Survey results Results of qualitative studies with individual questionnaire & interviews (40 questionnaire fulfilled), conducted among cancer center doctors & nurses, patients and their caregivers and family members Results of qualitative studies with individual questionnaire & interviews (40 questionnaire fulfilled), conducted among cancer center doctors & nurses, patients and their caregivers and family members (À.Ninjbadgar,2004): No knowledge about psycho-social service for cancer patients (90% of patients’ family members and 20% of doctors/nurses) Ever have not heard that psycho-social service for cancer patients could improve life quality and life duration (85% of patients’ caregivers & family members, 45% of doctors or nurses)

Survey results Do not know at all about support group actvities: 100% of patients and their families, 90% of doctors and nurses 70% of doctors and nurses considered that capacity should be gained and knowledge and skills for psychological counseling should be taught in medical universities : Psychological care is very important and necessary: 95% of patients and their families, 75% answered that psychological care is essential right now.
