18 PROGRAM OVERVIEW 1. Seniors in high schools throughout the United States who meet the eligibility requirements may apply each year for one of 250 four-year, achievement-based scholarships. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS APPLICANTS MUST BE: CURRENT high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States (or select DoD schools); U.S. Citizens; U.S. Nationals; U.S. Permanent Residents; Temporary Residents (in a legalization program); Refugees; Asylees; Cuban-Haitian Entrants; or Humanitarian Parolees; anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application; planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution; carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school. APPLICANTS MAY NOT: be children or grandchildren of employees, officers or owners of Coca−Cola bottling companies, The Coca−Cola Company, Company divisions or subsidiaries. 19 The Purpose of the Hagan Scholarship is to provide each scholarship recipient with the opportunity to obtain a four year college education and graduate debt free. The Workshops are intended to help each recipient obtain a practical understanding of important life skills that may not be taught as a part of the school curriculum. Each Hagan Scholarship will help pay the unmet financial need of the recipient, up to $5,000 per semester. 23 NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY SELECTION STATUS If you submitted a Candidate Information Packet, you need to see Mrs. Sadler for information regarding your selection status. This needs to be done no later than 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9.

24 NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Ceremony response forms and Obligations of Membership Consent forms are due by 3:30 on Friday, October 12. Failure to submit these forms by the deadline could result in your not being accepted into membership. See Mrs. Sadler if you have questions.
