2 Background Information
Ayurveda (Ayurvedic medicine) is a Hindu system of traditional medicine native to India. Consists of natural practices and herbs. Aimed to improve the health of people physically, mentally and spiritually. -(1)About 80% of India practice natural medicine, and Ayurveda is one of them. -(2) which is different than other types of medicine. Many refer to it as alternative medicine because it is not like the conventional medical system. -(3)Physically: Ayurveda contains diagnostics and treatments when it comes to illnesses. As for mentally and spiritually, Ayurveda also consists of methods pertaining to yoga and meditation which helps put the mind at ease.

3 Purpose Despite the prevalence of conventional medicine, Ayurveda should not only become adapted as the primary system of medicine in India, but in other countries as well. Positive affects it has on the health system Advantages over other medical systems Ways Ayurveda can influence business and the economy -(1) In other terms, Ayurveda should become accepted as mainstream medicine. I want you to be able to comprehend the importance and efficiency of this medical system and how it can come as an improvement to society if it is further expanded and adapted.

4 Positive Affects on Health System
Ayurveda can understand, diagnose, and treat new diseases. Ayurveda is highly systemized. Theories are proven with evidence There are documented clinical observations -(1) In relation to how conventional medicine is altered and renewed to help with present day illnesses, Ayurveda also meets these standards. -(2) Similar to conventional medicine, which individuals tend to have trust in because of the science and research that lies behind it, Ayurveda also holds great efficacy. People do not just make up random herbal treatments.

5 Advantages Over Other Medical Systems
Conventional medicine: a system in which medical doctors and other healthcare professionals (such as nurses, pharmacists, and therapists) treat symptoms and diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery. Minimal side effects Far more simple and efficient -(2) Since Ayurvedic medicine consists of natural herbs, there is a least chance of someone getting side effects, whereas conventional medicine can harm patients. For example, a surgery can go wrong or a person can be allergic to certain ingredients in prescribed medication -(3) One does not have to be severely ill in order to consume Ayurvedic medicine, yet they can adapt it as part of their daily lifestyle in efforts to remain healthy. Can be consumed routinely without harming an individuals health, whereas with conventional medicine there is a chance of overdose

6 Influence on Business & Economy
The demand on Ayurvedic medicine has increased over time. Ayurveda has been shifting from small-scale producers to larger manufacturing businesses. -With these two factors, small groups of people in India will now be able to share their practices of Ayurveda with larger companies and make business out of it. They would be credited for what they do in a financial manner. -Furthermore, once this form of medicine expands more and starts to gain interest amongst more scientists, hospitals, doctors and patients, there can be a boost of business throughout the medical field. -Unlike the job professions with conventional medicine that require a strict amount of education, working with more natural and manageable methods of Ayurveda would not hold such high expectations and standards, therefore a wider variety of people will have the opportunity at the medical work enforcement.

7 Why Ayurveda? Positive affects it has on the health system
Advantages over other medical systems Ways Ayurveda can influence business and the economy -Ayurveda is a very unique and effective system of medicine. it’s not crazy witchcraft that has no evidence and research behind it. It should be appreciated and taken into notice…it actually works! And deserves more attention -Countries other than India should consider making Ayurveda part of their mainstream medical system.
