Course Description EDU401 is a basic requirement for the TEFL major and has both pratical and theoretical purposes. It focuses on the cognitive and affective mechanism of learning, on the development, motivation and instruction. The chapters are organized around connections: teaching, research, developmental, personal diversity and technology. This course aims at: developing students’ abilities to identify and define Educational Psychology providing the knowledge and skills related to effective teachniques in teaching both young and adult learners developing expert and personally relevant understanding of cognitive and L development, social contexts and socioemotional development, sociocultural diversity applying knowledge of behavioral and social cognitive approaches, the information-processing approach, complex cognitve process, planning instruction, and technology, motivation teaching and learning.
