CHARACTERISTICS AND ADAPTIONS They often eat what we eat they communicate with each other using scratches marks on trees, smells and sounds

WHAT IS MY ANIMAL’S HABITAT The brown bear likes polar reqiong forest habitat and mountains.

HOW MANY OF THIS SPECIES ARE LEFT There is about 200,000 Bears left in the world.

WHAT DOES MY ANIMAL EAT Brown bear are omnivorous giants they are top of the food chain predators their diet has nuts, berries, fruit, leaves and roots but they eat other animals to from rodents they even eat salmon swimming up steam to spawn.

DOES MY ANIMAL HAVE ANY PREDATORS? the only true predator of the brown bear is man.

WHY IS MY ANIMAL CONSIDERED ENDANGERED? The Brown Bear is facing extinction in the wild because of man hunting them

HOW CAN PEOPLE HELP? WHAT PROGRAMS EXIST TO HELP THE SPECIES? People can help by not hunting them they could donate to the World Wildlife Foundation to help conserve the bear population

WHY IS THIS LIST IMPORTANT? the endangered species list is important because it helps people to see that animals will be gone forever if we don’t help them
