2. P ROBLEMS WE EXPERIENCE 1. Many times in our life what we see and experience are fruits of a problem. 2. However many times its rooted in a spiritual problem in our lives. 3. Often time we treat the fruit of the problem rather than the ROOT of the problem

3. E PHESIANS 6:18-19 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. [g]g 19 And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.

4. E PHESIANS 6:20 20 I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.

5. Please notice how many time Apostle Paul uses the word PRAY. 1. Verse 18 Starts with Pray 2. Also in verse 18 he uses “prayers for all” 3. Verse 19 “Pray for me” 4. Verse 20 “Pray that I” Apostle Paul closes out this section with the focus of putting on the Whole Armor of God.

6. E PHESIANS 6:10-11 The Whole Armor of God 10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.

7. H OW DO YOU PUT ON T HE W HOLE A RMOR OF G OD ? How do we get victory of issues in our lives? Once we get it, how do we maintain Victory in our life? The Answer is Prayer 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere

8. 1. P OWERFUL P RAYERS ARE PERSISTENT Persistent-means Kronos- Time clock specific A. Refuse to give up Kairos signifies the “right,” B. Insistent “opportune”

9. “ OPPORTUNE ” This is the context of Spirutal Battle Warfare 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Kronos (Κρόνος) is an ancient Greek word meaning chronological or sequential time. It is measured by clocks, we tend to race against it Kairos signifies the “right,” “opportune” or “supreme” moment

10. We talk about Prayer Speak about Prayer But I want to go a little deeper in Prayer to make sure we understand it. Because when we understand prayer it changes A When you pray B How you pray C Expectation of when you pray

11. What concern me is Prayer has been reduce to something you do before you eat Pray before a soccer game. It’s become a habbit but for far too many its just an excerise. I would almost say that many seat down to eat and say the words “Lord thank you for this food Amen You are not thinking about the blessing of the Lord you just establish a habbit.

12. Prayer has become like a spare tire we want it there in case we need it. However when we understand that Prayer is powerful. I would like you to understand a few things 1. We give Heaven permission to interven in our lives. 2. We say to God “I need your power in my life, provision in my life I need you”

13. L ET ME MAKE A CLARIFICATION 1. Prayer does not MAKE God do anything. 2. Prayer does not FORCE God If God does not plan to do it according to HIS will for your life. You can pray God until you turn blue God wll act according to HIS will. BUT What Prayer do is call on God to intervention in your life. God wants to but have not been ask to do so.

14. J AMES 5:16 16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

15. 2 ND P OWERFUL P RAYERS OF RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE PRODUCES GREAT RESULTS. 1. Moses prayed and God spared Israel from judgment. 2. Joshua prayed and God caused the sun to stand still 3. Solomon prayed and God gave him wisdom. 4. Jonah prayed and God brought him out of the belly of the whale. 5. The thief on the cross prayed and God gave him eternal life

16. In other words the condition of the healing in Prayer. Effective or Earnest Prayer has what? Great Power 17 Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! 18 Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops. Nothing special about Elijah he was ordinary man just like you and me.

17. This ordinary Man got Heaven to move because Rain comes from up there. There were a problem on earth and Elijah prayed! Turn to 1 King Chapter 18: 1-2 Later on, in the third year of the drought, the L ORD said to Elijah, “Go and present yourself to King Ahab. Tell him that I will soon send rain!” 2 So Elijah went to appear before Ahab. All we read in the book of James is Elijah pray no rain and for three and half years NO rain. Then he pray again and rain fell.

18. 1 K ING C HAPTER 18: 41-42& 44 41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!” 42 So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees. Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. 44 Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.”

19. 3 RD P OWERFUL PRAYERS ARE PRAYING WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY DECLARED ! We talk to man about God more than we talk to God about man! Powerful Prayers are when we pray God word to HIM. God is very serious about HIS word. As matter of Fact, Matthew 24:35 35 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.
