Installation The district now contracts Quality directly to install all Promethean ActivClassrooms, so you will need to contact them to schedule all installations – Modified Digital Classrooms – call in a Remedy Ticket – Purchased using school funds – complete Communications Work Order which is done through CAB

ActivHardware Update What works with what??? 3 versions of ActivBoards in district – ActivBoard version 1 (need product code) Boards sold prior to 2006 – Will have black oval in upper left corner – AB78 Activ Board (or ProActiv Board) Boards sold 2006 to mid-2009 – AB100/AB300/AB300Pro Series All boards sold mid-2009 to present

Infrared ActivBoard These will have a larger black oval in the upper- left corner of the board (about 5 inches) Will work with ActivInspire and ActivStudio Cannot upgrade to ActivArena (dual-user) IR ActivSlate/ActiVotes cannot register directly to the new boards – will need the old ActiVote shaped hub to connect Will work with 2.4 GHz devices (ActivSlate, ActiVotes, ActivExpressions) – The 2.4GHz devices register to a black USB ActivHub, not to the board

ActiVote AV2 Registers directly to the AB78 boards (proActiv or ActivBoard) Can also register to an ActiVote-shaped hub to work without a Promethean board or with the older IR ActivBoards No symbol between red and green lights on the device.

ActiVote AV3 Registers to the black USB ActivHub Will work with any version of Promethean board. Will also work with another brand of interactive whiteboard or simply with a computer and an LCD projector. Has wireless symbol between red and green lights at the top of the device.

ActivStudio/ActivInspire District-wide license for both applications as of January 2010 ActivInspire needs an Intel processor – Cannot be used on iBook G4 computers Recommended to upgrade if possible – ActivStudio will no longer be updated ActivInspire can open ActivStudio files, but ActivStudio will not open ActivInspire files
