Can describe and apply rules relating to safe preservation. Level 2 Using digital preservation standards and tools. Understand and applies principles and processes of digital curation and preservation and the systems that support them. Level 3 Working with IT development professionals to ensure appropriate digital preservation solutions. Competent and confident in assisting in the development of preservation policies and processes and in training others in their use. Level 4 Solving technical digital preservation problems in collaboration. Regularly ensures and evaluates the development and delivery of policies and processes relating to digital preservation, ensuring that appropriate training is in place, and measuring outcomes and impact. Level 5 Business planning for digital preservation Responsible for ensuring the long-term survival of all digital records in line with organisational goals, within budget.
