PAUL FREDERIC SIMON Born: October 13, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey Credits Art’s performance in the 4 th grade talent show for inspiring him to start singing "I'm more interested in what I discover than what I invent. You don't possess it. You can't control it or dictate to it. You're just waiting. Waiting... for the show to begin." Has won 13 Grammy Awards including a liftetime achievement award. Has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. Once in 1990 as a member of Simon & Garfunkel and again in 2001 as a solo artist. Also the first ever to receive the Library of Congress’s Gershwin Prize for Popular song. AUSTIN HORN 2012

ARTHUR IRA GARFUNKEL Born: November 05, 1941 in Forest Hills, New York As young as 4 years old Art would practice his singing using a wire recorder Studied Art History at Columbia University and later earned a Masters degree in Mathematics Recipient of 5 Grammy awards "I feel somewhat different from many people in the extraordinary amount of good fortune that fell into my lap and made up my life.” AUSTIN HORN 2012

While attending Forest Hill High School in Queens, New York, Paul and Art wrote and recorded music under the name “Tom and Jerry” Their Everly Brothers-influenced song “Hey Schoolgirl”, released in 1957, was a minor hit and got them a record deal with Big Records when they were both only 15. They also got to perform the song on American Bandstand as a follow up act to Jerry Lee Lewis 1957 - Hey Schoolgirl They both went off to college but reunited in 1962 1964 their first Album as Simon & Garfunkel was released titled “Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.” THE EARLY YEARS AUSTIN HORN 2012

Albums Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. released in 1964 but wouldn’t hit the Pop charts until 1966 where it would reach #30 Was deemed a commercial failure In 1966 they would give recording another go with their album Sounds of Silence An acoustic version of Sounds of Silence was released in 1964 with their first album and rereleased on this album with electric accompaniment and became an overnight hit. 1966 – Parsley Sage and Thyme 1968 – Bookends 1968 – The Graduate “Mrs. Robinson” and “Scarborough Fair” 1970 – Bridge over Troubled Water Hits 1981 ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’1981 ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ In 1970 Simon & Garfunkel broke up due to artistic differences and both choose to pursue solo careers THE LEGACY AUSTIN HORN 2012

In 1973 Garfunkel released his first solo album Angel Clare which would be his highest charting solo album, peaking at number 5. Before the release of Angel Clare he appeared in Catch 22 and Carnal Knowledge as an actor.
