Rule Changes 2015 - Summary 1. Under-18 Players – If you intend on having any player who is under 18 years of age, the U-18 Waiver form must be downloaded from the website and signed by the player as well as the parent and must be mailed to secretary@minnesotacricket.com at least 1 week prior to the game. Captain shall possess the consent letter at the time of toss and umpires shall be provided a copy of the form. Captains shall notify in the roster about the players under the age of 18. It is mandatory for the player under the age of 18 to wear a helmet while he bats. secretary@minnesotacricket.com 2. 30-Minute Notice – In case of a game that has a delayed start, umpires should issue a 30 minute notice to the captain before restarting the game. This is however, not true for restarting a game affected by rain. 3. Duckworth-Lewis Method – The Duckworth and Lewis method will be used in the case of games shortened from the initial intended duration. The DL Calculator must be used during ANY delay in ANY inning of the game. The only recommended DL calculators are the official ICC version that is uploaded on the MCA website with a tutorial and CricHQ. Being able to use the App for Duckworth Lewis calculation is MANDATORY for all MCA Captains without exceptions. If you do not know how to do this, refer to tutorials on the MCA website or contact the secretary or vice president prior to start of the season. 4. Umpiring Stipend – Increased from $60 to $70 for 40 over game. Unchanged ($40) for T20. If there is only 1 umpire in the game, each team pays $50 ($100 in total) for 40 overs and $30 each ($60 in total) for T20.

Rule Changes 2015- Summary #2 5. Fielding Restrictions – Only 4 outside the circle (previously 5) during non-powerplay overs 6. Power Play overs in a rain reduced game - Number of power play overs should be reduced as per table used for determining overs when innings’ overs are reduced. Please see illustrations in Rule Book for details and usage illustration. 7. Super Over Time Limit (T20 Rule) - Super over must be completed within 5 minutes from the start of the over. The super overs also commence 5 minutes after the end of the regular T20 overs. 8. Colored Pads (T20 Rule)- Teams are required to wear colored pads or pad covers in T20. Color should be non-white/non-cream. Teams are recommended to use the pad cover/pads in the same color as the primary color of their attire. 9. Wide Ball – Anything outside the mat is a wide. And balls that pass through outside the wide line on the mat are also wides. The only exception to this is if the ball hits the nail. In that case, it’s a dead ball.

Clarifications/Guidelines If the bowler hits the stumps on his follow through, it is a no-ball All umpiring substitute requests must be routed through the head umpire. Mass substitutions may not be approved Every team must have a minimum of 3 certified umpires. If not the team will be penalized as deemed appropriate by the Executive Committee and mandated by the rules and regulations of the league. Runners are permitted under the umpires discretion in our league. Players coming into games with pre-existing injuries will not be allowed runners, substitutes etc during the game. The umpire’s decision will be final in this matter and binding on both captains. All 40 over games in ALL GROUNDS start at 12:00 PM. First T20 game of the day starts at 12:00 PM and second game starts at 3:45 PM (and not 4:00 PM as before).

Stats System - CricHQ  You have 3 options to score – Paper based, iOS app of CricHQ, Android app of CricHQ.  For the first 2 rounds of the tournament, paper based scoring backup is MANDATORY. After that, if everything goes smoothly, there will be a communication from the MCA Secretary on whether it is okay to use only CricHQ App.  Your team will be provided with a username and password. Please use only that login for your scoring. All roster changes will have to be routed through the Secretary.  Logins will be emailed in the next 48 hours. Please keep them safely.  Check rosters on Tuesday and update us ASAP if there are changes to be made. All changes will still have to be routed through the MCA Secretary.  Duckworth Lewis Calculators – Only 2 calculators are approved by MCA 1. CricHQ app 2. ICC app on MCA’s website

MCA Grounds Committee Expectations

Internal MCA use only – sharing prohibited Introduction A process is implemented from season 2015 to protect MCA equipment and minimize the damages to mats and other equipment every year. Teams and its players are subjected to restore the equipment in a properly manner and in case of failure, teams are subjected to fines.

Bryn Mawr Game Mats: At Bryn Mawr storage, we will have the mats separated to each of the side based on East/West signs. After every game, teams should place the equipment where it has been originally moved from. All the west ground equipment like mat, nails, covers etc…should be stored on the west side. The bucket with nails and cones are to be placed in the box on west ground. Similar instructions apply for East ground. Signs will be placed for East and West ground equipment's to be placed after every game.

Practice Mats Currently there are 4 practice mats in the Bryn Mawr storage and teams practicing are responsible to roll the mat and restore it properly after every practice session. All the practice mats are to be placed as shown in the below pictures.

After Game on Rainy days Captains, please make sure you let us know if the mat is wet or covers are rolled with water in it on a rainy day so that we can ask teams who go for practice on next day to keep the mat and covers out for drying. This is to make sure we don’t damage the mats or covers or play on wet mats during the game. Last season, a brand new mat is rolled with water and it cannot be used anymore. We can’t afford to lose expensive items or replace them every season.
