2 Completing a dual credit means a student gets credit at secondary school and at college. But what does that look like when a student registers at college? This workshop will provide information connecting dual credits to college admission, credit transfer, tuition costs, and OSAP implications.

Credit Transfer Process Admissions College credit may be used for admission to a college program as: Pre-requisite subject – English, mathematics, biology etc. Senior level credit used to calculate average for some highly competitive programs.

Credit Transfer Process (Cont’d) College General Elective courses transfer easily Core courses must be approximately 80 per cent the same Minimum grade must be achieved Course outline and transcript must be submitted for review Fees will vary No impact on tuition or OSAP Important: credit transfer process may vary from institution to institution. Students should check with the Office of the Registrar at the college they are attending!
