SOLUTIONS… Using renewable energy sources such as the sun, wind and waves. Plus we can reduce our emissions by simply using less energy, which can start with easy steps like remembering to turn off the light when we leave a room. Take public transport instead of driving. Go on holiday locally instead of flying. Recycle more. Prevent deforestation – plant a new tree for everyone cut down. Glossary Fossil fuels – oil, coal and natural gas are all types of fossil fuel formed over millions of years from plant and animal matter that has been trapped and compressed underground. Petrol and diesel are produced by refining oil. Renewable Energy – Renewable energy is energy which comes from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat, which are renewable (naturally replenished).energynatural resourcessunlightwind raintidesgeothermal heatrenewable

Some could: Analyse how the future could look if we all tackled climate change. To reach this learning objective write a paragraph which analyses how a future would look like (in 300 years) if the whole world took steps to tackle climate change. You may want to use these phrases to help… After looking at the causes and effects of climate change over the past two lessons it is clear we have to… I think the best solutions to climate change are… It might be more difficult for the government /people to… In 300 years, if we are more environmentally friendly, the world will be a place where… If we successfully introduce the solutions… maybe… In 300 years hopefully…
