What is an HRA used for? Tool to assist: Employees: In assessing & monitoring personal health status Employers: –In deciphering important organizational health trends –Determining appropriate health management programming/ interventions for organization –Note: Only aggregate (group) data is passed on from the third party vendor so that individual information is kept confidential & is HIPAA compliant

HRA FACTS Annually Available To: Active/Benefits-Eligible EEs (EE’s @.5 FTE - whether carry UNL’s medical insurance or not) Retirees Ancillary COBRA insureds Available During 2010 NUFlex Re-Enrollment Period: 4-week period: Nov. 9 – Dec. 4, 2009 On-line survey Approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Why Is This Important To Me? Incorporates an individual’s: Personal health information Family health history General health status & correlates it with the following health issues: Blood pressureEmotional HealthExercise Cholesterol/Blood SugarNutritionSafety Dental HealthMen’s HealthSun Protection Tobacco UseAlcohol UseWomen’s Health Includes a cultural assessment and employee knowledge & interest inventory Participants receives personalized, confidential * wellness report UNL receives a comprehensive aggregate report to assist in wellness programming available for all university employees All employees are eligible to participate. Even those that do not use University insurance are important to this process as the aggregate report will be utilized to program plan for all employees. * Meets HIPAA regulations & standards

Personalized, Confidential Report Individual risk factor status Risk levels for specific health conditions such as: –Cancer –Mental Health Concerns –Stroke –Diabetes Personalized feedback on personal health habits & both modifiable & non-modifiable risk factors Recommendations for improving health status

Enhanced Wellness & Preventative Services Benefit* Complete the 2009 HRA to Receive Enhanced Wellness & Preventative Services Benefit* *Enhanced benefits are available only to those enrolled in UNL’s BC/BS Medical insurance plan

“Enhanced Wellness Benefits” Beginning January 2010 Wellness & Preventative Services Benefit $250 $300 (annual physical or other preventative services) Well-Child Care $500 $600 (dependents up to age 2) Colonoscopy Paid @ 100% once every 10 yrs beginning at age 50 (using Preferred Providers only) Generic drugs $0 co-pay through mail service only ( Does not apply to retail)
