5.  “updated ties”  Less than three inches wide  Tip should barely touch belt buckle When wearing suspenders, tie should touch waistband  Small pattern

6.  Leather belts Black or burgundy to match shoes Natural waistline  Wing-tip shoes look conservative  Tassel loafers look casual

7.  Pocket scarves Formal occasions  No earrings, gold chains, or bracelets  Class rings or wedding bands are acceptable  No inexpensive watches with suit  Good quality pen, wallet, portfolio, and briefcase

8.  Wearing short-sleeved shirts with suits  Wearing wrinkly shirts  Wearing short socks  Leaving a jacket unbuttoned  Wearing pants with loops without belt

9.  Watches without metal or leather bands  Wearing casual shoes Hush puppies, sneakers, etc.  Wearing shoes with badly worn heels
