14 WHAT IS A HOT SITE?  Exact duplicate of organization’s work site  Constantly updated  Back ups are near complete if not fully up to date

15 WHAT IS A HOT SITE?  Popular with businesses that operate on real time  Ready to take over immediately in case of failure

16 PROS & CONS OF HOT SITES  PROS  Can be brought back up to full production in a few hours  Allows for minimal downtime  CONS  Most expensive step to disaster recovery
