6 2008 Siting Analysis Update Re-evaluated top 3 sites identified in 2007 Same criteria for site rankings utilized Two properties – private ownership One property – District owned Maple Park site also considered as potential site
7
7 Glen Charlie Site Advantages –Owned by District, currently has fire station –On main road – direct access –Adjacent to water/electric/telephone utilities –Limited site clearing required –Proximity to fire station adds to site security
8
8 Maple Park Site Advantages –District-owned property –Site will have future well supply –Potential to house chemical feed systems in tank structure
9
9 Maple Park Site Disadvantages –Tank structure too small to house chemical feed systems –Widening of existing unimproved roads required for construction equipment access –Rebuilding or temporary bridge structures required for tank construction equipment access –Utility extensions required to tank site –Wetland and Endangered Species impacts –Remote location increases security risks –Estimated additional costs approximately = $160,000
