Students will read three different thoughts and discuss questions that go along with them. Each thought begins with: Even though I am lavender…

Instead, I will show them by my actions that I am proud of who I am and of the way I act. Discussion Questions: 1. Do you remember a time when people were mean to you? 2. How could you respond positively to them?

THOUGHT # 2 Even though I am lavender, I don’t make excuses or blame others for who I am. I do my best and take responsibility for my actions. Discussion Questions: 1. Have you made excuses or blamed others before? 2. What could you have done that would have been better?
22
THOUGHT # 3 People make fun of me and tell me because I’m lavender, I won’t be able to get the job I want. I know that this is not true and I will fulfill my dream if I work hard. Discussion Questions: 1. What do you want to be when you get older? 2. How might you accomplish this?
