IEE/08/479/S12.528546Project duration: 01-07-2009 to 31-12-2011 Slides April 2012 QualiCert starting point The RES Directive (2009), Article 14.3 stresses the importance of qualification and certification of RES installers: high quality installations ensure maximum benefits from the RES technologies “MS shall ensure that certification schemes or equivalent qualification schemes become or are available by 31 December 2012 for installers of small-scale biomass boilers and stoves, solar photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, shallow geothermal systems and heat pumps. Each MS shall recognise certification awarded by other Member States”.

IEE/08/479/S12.528546Project duration: 01-07-2009 to 31-12-2011 Slides April 2012 QualiCert objectives Develop recommendations to MS during their process of writing national schemes for quality certification or equivalent qualification for installers: For different technologies (solar thermal, PV, biomass, geothermal, heat pumps) In close collaboration with installers (via their EU associations representing their interests) to ensure the easy application of the developed system in the market In order to have a common framework that can be translated into the different Member States and that ensures that the schemes are thus mutually recognisable
