Mega music mix video

Content outline I intend to create a 10 minute music video with a mixture of different songs intertwined together to create one hole music mix. I will be mixing my own music and creating my own video containing footage of different types of dancing( i.e. Street, Contempary and mixed), bike/scooter/skating tricks and of someone playing an instrument.

Target audience Teenagers and young adults aged that enjoy watching YouTube. Main based in Group O: Liberal Opinions as they are mainly young people. Mainly pointed towards O62- Central Pulse.

research Before I made any questionnaires or any surveys for people to fill out online, I watched and research a mixture of different DJ’s and mixers videos. Once I did this I then identified all of the things and effects that are used and needed to make these videos different from any other music videos around. The thing that most commonly come across to me is that they artist overlaps the songs at either a similar beat or lyric. I then identified the videos that matched my idea video the closest: DJ James Yammouni Mega Mix 2013 /14, 2014/2014 Mashup, Pop Mega Mashup Mix 2014, Pop Danthology and SLAM!TV Yearmix 2014. I then created a survey/questionnaire online and the most popular way that people wanted to see the video was intercut with different angles from different videos edited together. In my video there isn’t going to be a story behind it and there isn’t going to be a main character.

60% of people who answered the survey online said that they would expect to see a video intercutted on each beat with different angles from different videos. Audience responses 70% of the people who answered the questionnaire online said that they would prefer to have Hip Hop/Pop mixed together in a music mix. 60% of the people who answered the survey online said that they would prefer to see Street/Contempary dancing against any other activity.

Energetic theme The theme that I have chosen to do is an energetic theme as there in the mix there is music that is really energetic and lively. I am representing this theme by using my own footage of dancing and someone doing stunts on a scooter/bike/skateboard. I will also represent this theme by using footage of someone playing an instrument as if they were playing the music in the mix themselves.

Project schedule With this schedule, I have planned to have all of the initial research, ideas development and drafted mixes, storyboards, shot lists and cast within the first 3 weeks of the Pre-Production stage. By the fourth week of the Pre-Production stage, I will have been location scouting, completed health and safety, risk assessment forms and etc. and found actors/actresses and props. Between the first and third week of the Production stage I will have filmed all of the dancing and stunts and other activities that I want to have filmed. Within the two weeks of Post Production stage, I will have finished any editing and paperwork that is outstanding and then evaluate my work and then hand in a finished piece.

Problems I may face/how I will resolve them
The different types of problems that I may face during this project is either people not being able to be free when I need to film, if actors or crew members are ill and if the forecasted weather changes unexpectedly. I will resolve these issues by filming in a time space where myself and my crew/actors are free as well. I will also check the weather report every morning and every night until the day that I am meant to be filming.

How will I meet deadlines?
I will meet the deadline by getting the filming done as soon as I can therefore I use whatever time I have left before the deadline for editing and any other paperwork I may have left over to complete. I will also spend as much time as I can outside of college hours to film, edit and complete anymore paperwork that I have left. I will do this so that I am not rushing around and being under a lot of pressure and panicking if I don’t have enough shots or if all of the paperwork or editing isn’t finshed.
