2. What does CUAbroad do? Assist students in selecting, applying for, and receiving credit for education abroad programs Develop and administer education abroad programs Coordinate efforts with CUA academic and administrative units and institutions in the US and abroad

3. CUA Education Abroad Statistics Over the past year… CUA sent 270 students to study overseas. This is 28% more than the previous year! Attendance on faculty-led programs has increased by 211%. The number of students choosing a non-traditional destination has increased by 400%. Over twice as many students studied abroad in the fall than in the spring (Fall scholarships now available…).

Semester Programs: Completed 45 credits Spring of sophomore year – Fall of senior year Completed English 101 Completed language requirement (or will complete it will abroad) 2.8 Minimum GPA Good disciplinary standing Summer & Spring Break Programs: After freshman year 2.5 Minimum GPA Good disciplinary standing

CUA Oxford Program – Flagship Program Fall, Spring, & Summer 3.5 G.P.A. for U Grads, 3.8 for Grads) Take 3 tutorials for 15 undergrad credits (9 for graduates) A wide range of liberal arts subjects Self-driven coursework Intensive reading, researching and writing Affiliation with Oxford college Oxford student housing (single rooms, shared kitchen, lounge & bathroom) Extracurricular activities, clubs, etc.

16. Financing Education Abroad Studying Abroad is quite affordable! CUA PROGRAMS & AFFILIATED PROGRAMS CUA students pay tuition plus a program fee (generally $5,000) Includes tuition, housing, pre-departure and on-site orientation, insurance, excursions, and some meals (if offered) Visa, round-trip airfare, and personal expenses not included No CUA campus housing and meal plan charged while abroad Cost breakdown sheets provided (share with Financial Aid) CUA grants & scholarships, federal & state aid are ALL available for affiliated programs Autumn Advantage Scholarship ($1,000 off program fee) Fall into Rome Scholarship ($2,500 off program fee) IES, Fordham, Gilman, Boren, Fulbright, and other scholarships
