ENERGY By Luke (And Nathan as the helper)

WHAT IS SCIENCE? Science is everything here are a few types of science Physics Biology Chemistry Geology Astronomy Science is all around us machines are science, volcanos are science, space is science. So in conclusion things we see every day are scientific and have been studied. A big part of Science is atoms. Atoms are scientific and everything is made of atoms which are tiny. So basically science is one big theory.

WHAT IS ENERGY? Energy is a source it can be the sun, coal, nuclear energy and there are many other energy sources. The sun can power solar panels and turbines. Nuclear energy is another source which is used to generate electricity. Coal is another source of energy which is in coal power plants.

HOW DOES ENERGY HELP US IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES? Energy sources such as coal power plants generate electricity which can be a used as elecrtricity which we use everyday at home and at school. Some other energy sources are Steam which can power a steam engine. Nuclear energy which is in nuclear rods. Steam can also power steam cars Solar energy can power Solar balloons Solar fans Solar lamps And Solar energy can power Much more.

NUCLEAR REACTOR A nuclear reactor is used at nuclear power plants, today there are 450 different nuclear reactors in about 30 country's, they are used to generate electricity. Some reactors are only Run for research. Nuclear reactors were created in the 1950s. Around 13% of the worlds energy is powered by nuclear energy. But it cannot explode like a bomb.

WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF THIS TYPE OF SCIENCE? The very first source of energy was the sun providing heat. Many years later man discovered That wind could be used for sailing. Then we discovered water windmills which helped the human race quite a bit. Natural gases were used by the Chinese very long ago. Wood was also one of mankind's greatest energy source which was used as fuel for cooking and fire. Coal then replaced wood so that’s how coal became such a popular source that humans use very commonly.
