4 Alabama’s State Capital is Montgomery This is the State capital building in Montgomery, Alabama. The first Capitol building in Montgomery, Alabama was built in 1847, and was destroyed by fire in 1849. The current State Capitol was built on the previous Capitol's foundations, and was completed in 1851. The building has grown over time with an east wing added to the buildings rear in 1885, a south wing in 1906, a matching north wing in 1912, and along with a complete renovation to the whole building a modern addition to the rear in 1992.

5 University Of Alabama The University of Alabama is 1,000 square acres. It was established in 1831. It nickname is Crimson Tide. The University’s colors are Crimson White UA’s Mascot Is BIG AL

6 A Nice Place to visit A nice place to visit is Huntsville, or Rocket City, AL. Rocket city Is called Rocket City because it Is known for the US Space and Rocket Center. It is the worlds largest space museum. You can touch moon rocks and go in a space shuttle. You can see the Saturn V model rocket.

8 Historic Facts About Alabama Spanish explorers are believed to have arrived at Mobile Bay in 1519, and the territory was visited in 1540 by the explorer Herando de Soto. The first permanent European settlement in Alabama was founded by the French at Fort Louis de la Mobile in 1702. The British gained control of the area in 1763 by the Treaty of Paris but had to Give almost all the Alabama region to the U.S. and Spain after the American Revolution. The Confederacy was founded at Montgomery in Feb. 1861, and, for a time, the city was the Confederate capital

You can watch football in The University of Alabama’s football stadium. You can watch wildlife in Alabama’s Beautiful forests, the Bankhead, Conecuh, Talladega and Tuskegee.
