History ► Was established in San Francisco during the early 1970s. ► The concept was to establish a cozy, inviting atmosphere similar to that of a victorian boudouir. ► Has attracted more interest than any other brand in the lingerie industry. ► Their advertising campaign has created an abundance of recognition to the companies bold name. ► Is considered today as Sexy, Youthful, and Romantic! Romantic!

Locations ► More than 1,000 stores across the U.S. ► Most of which are located in a mall atmosphere. (Outdoor or Indoor) ► Also can make purchases online @ www.VictoriasSecret.com www.VictoriasSecret.comwww.VictoriasSecret.com

Store Layout ► Victoria’s Secret is a store that is not meant to make it easy necessarily to find specifics. ► The store is catered to those that know and understand the store. ► Many different tables and displays throughout the stores. ► Many times men shopping for women need help while shopping in store.

Advertisement ► Known for sexy commercials on television. ► Well know fashion show that takes place each year! (2006 Show) 2006 Show2006 Show ► Mail out catalogs that show all the new merchandise for each season. (Gives customer a sense of what is going to be sexy!)

Strengths ► Very Well Known Brand (Leads Market) ► Merchandise (trend setting) ► Gift Cards/E-Gift Cards ► Custom gift wrapping ► Angel Card ► Online Bill Pay ► Beautiful Models!!!

Weaknesses ► Expensive ► Not made for all body types ► Only women can use the products (But some lucky men get to enjoy the product!) ► General market consists of women that are interested in the term “sexy” (Not for all ages!)

Opportunities ► Take advantage of trends in sex appeal. (More and more people are losing weight in attempt to look like the models they see on TV!) ► As more people are having casual sex now-a-days, attempt to get more than just married couples into the store. ► Make it comfortable for men to shop for their loved one. (Brings in more revenue!)
