Hazing is defined as any action or situation that recklessly or intentionally endange3rs mental or physical health of a member or member in training. This includes embarrassing or reckless situations such as; road trips, public wearing of apparel which is not in good taste, engaging in public stunts, and late work sessions which interfere with scholastic actives. Strict no-hazing policy

Impact Project Grant - awarded to individual members or to a chapter for a major music project that reaches beyond the of the campus. confines Summer Music Scholarship - given to a member who is participating in a summer music school or festival.

Annelle Chandler McAdams Alumnae Service Award – Monetary award given to recognize outstanding service projects. Katherine Becker National Collegiate Chapter Achievement Award – Selected from nominations submitted by province officers for chapters that have fulfilled the National Objectives and completed all obligations.

27 List and describe three awards that can be given to an individual member of SAI. Sword of Honor – gold sword given for outstanding leadership and fraternity service. Ruby Sword of Honor – gold sword with a ruby given to the candidate chosen as the Province Leadership Award winner. Rose of Dedication – A gold rose with a pearl center, given for 25 years of service and dedication past the local level. Ring of Excellence – the fraternity’s highest award, a ring in the shape of the fraternity badge with two engraved roses on the shaft.

28 What is the international chapter? Who is allowed to be affiliated with it? The international chapter is for members who wish to keep in close touch with the Fraternity, but who reside 50 miles or more from an active charter.
