Aims of the summer school u To introduce you to your chosen subject areas in Public Administration/Diplomacy and Global Governance u To develop your skills in problem solving and group work u To develop your skills working in English

The schedule u Classroom activities and visits – eg. legal London walk, visit to Foreign and Commonwealth Office, a Local Council etc. u Special visits– central London orientation, coach and river tour, Oxford and final picnic u Optional visit programme – eg. club night, theatres, galleries, museums, discos, etc.

Marking and grades u You will be asked to produce an essay of 2500 words comparing some aspect of the UK public administration system with that in Russia u You will have access to our library and internet resources u UK grading is different to other countries in that 50-60 is good, 60-70 is very good and 70 plus is excellent. u You will get a certificate upon grading your essay
