Convert list view web part to xslt Saved page. (yes customize the page from the definition) Return to browser and refresh web part page. Modify shared web part settings Now you should see an xsl button to change the xsl. Take the list xsl and pulled out the references to the columns and put them into new xsl. Then take the top element from the list xml and add it to yours. Copy the new xsl text into the web part and hit ok.
