4 FACTS ON EL SALVADOR  Location: Central America, bordering the North Pacific Ocean, between Guatemala and Honduras  Capital: San Salvador  Language in El Salvador - Spanish is the main and official language of El Salvador

7 THE PRESIDENT  Salvador Sánchez Cerén is El Salvador’s current president  Born: June 18, 1944 (age 70)  Spouse: Margarita Villalta (married since 1968)  President of El Salvador since 2014

8 EDUCATION  In El Salvador you have to pay for education  Some families don’t have their children go to school because of payment issues

9 HOLIDAYS IN EL SALVADOR  The main holidays that El Salvadorians celebrate are Christmas and New Years  Many kids dress up for Christmas as Santa’s helpers or a Christmas character  Many families will just attend church that day too
