Set-up flexibility on the heart-lung machine: Quadrox can be used with a pre-mounted venous hardshell cardiotomy reservoir or as a stand-alone unit with a separate hardshell reservoir. Closed System Combine the Quadrox with a venous softshell reservoir and a cardiotomy reservoir in a closed system. With the Quadrox’s blood inlet and outlet in line, there is a sgnificant reduction in tubing lenghts, and consequently in priming volume: a customized set-up to the patient. Individual ways to enhanced biocompatibility For optimum blood handling the Quadrox is available with either Safeline or Bioline Coating. Their standard Safeline Coating minimizes trans-membrane pressure gradient and guarantees an exceptional relability. Bioline coating ensures a homogeneous, highly biocompatible surface which effectively protects patient’s blood.

Superior fibre technology The Quadrox D with diffusion membrane: Quadrox D provides constant, optimum safety especially in the case of prolonged perfusion. Its tight and hydrophobic hollow-fibre membrane made of polymethylpentene avoids plasma leaks. It effectively prevens the formation of micro-bubbles and protects against bacterial contamination from the gas side. Quadrox D features the outstanding handling characteristics and performance data of the Quadrox oxygenator with the microporous membrane. Individual ways to enhanced biocompatibility For optimum blood handling the Quadrox is available with either Safeline or Bioline Coating. Oxygenator performance is a question of balanced parameters. The SAFE MAXI oxygenator provides a very effective air and bubble trapping and has one of the highest oxygen transfer rates available with moer than adequate excess reserve capacity. Likewise the heat exchanger is one of teh most efficient to ensure efficient cooling and rewarming. Full rotation The complete arterial outlet section of the SAFE MAXI oxygenator is fully rotatable through 360 degrees as is the entire oxygenator at the reservoir coupling. This both optimises and greatly simplifies positioning of the oxygenator in relation to pump patient and reservoir. It also facilitates both left and right-hand pump set-ups and to shortening of blood lines with better access and visibility. These features combined with the also fully rotatable venous inlet of the venous inlet of the venous reservoir give the SAFE MAXI oxygenator and VHK reservoir optimum positioning flexibility. Standard coating All SAFE MAXI oxygenators are surface treated with Jostra SAFELINE® coating to reduce tension on the blood contact surfaces and to significantly reduce oxygenator drops during extracorporeal circulation. Safeline improves blood compatibility and thrombocyte adhesion New venous cardiotomy reservoir With a minimum operating volume and a maximum capacity of 4200 ml the VHK reservoir exceeds the requirements for safe and effective management of venous return and suction blood. Clear, precise and easily eradable volume scales make volume management and monitoring accurate and reliable. Fully transparent housings The clear, high impact polycarbonate housings ensure full visibility. This provide security the perfusionist and contributes to patient safety.
