Factoring In Algebra 2, we learned many methods of factoring polynomials including: Factor by removing a common factor Factor by grouping Factor trinomials of the type ax^2 + bx + c Factor special products of polynomials

Factoring by grouping In some polynomials, pairs of terms can first be grouped and factored Ex:

Trinomials of the type x^2 + bx + c When trinomials have this form (mostly quadratics), they can be factored into two linear factors We look for factors of C that add up to B Ex:
