SCHOOL DEMOGRAPHIC Numbers: Students: 944 54% Hispanic 24% White 18% Black 4% Multiracial 1% Asian Teachers: 40 Assistants/Paraprofessionals: 23 7% of students participate in programs helping with Special Education (WCJS) 44% English as a new language

ACHIEVEMENT PLAN Test Scores: Very below average (Rating is 2 out of 10) In growth they got an average score ( Rating is a 5 out of 10) Attendance is high Growth has shown improvement Improvement Plan Increase the amount of test prep Increase the teacher evaluations

TYPES OF CURRICULAR CHOICE OFFERED Programs for some students: Honors, Advanced Placement Courses, International Baccalaureate Horizons (must qualify through identification process) EXCEL (must qualify through identification process) Cluster Grouping (must qualify through identification process) Extracurricular Activities Offered: Math Bowl, Science Bowl, Spell Bowl, Girls on the Run, Boys Running all the Time, Student Council and Gator VIPS Commercially Known Curricular: HOSTS, Everyday Math Every teacher can decide what he/she wants to use in their own classroom.

SO WHAT? Low Income leads to unsteady home life Most jobs around are manual labor so students move around, that is why they are try to keep the curriculum across the board. Title One leads to more supervision from the government which is more pressure on the teachers and admin Teachers are concerned with home life along with standards. Demographics and location make the difference in the school grade.
