2. How to pack your shoe box Find an empty shoebox The shoebox should ideally be medium size, as shown. Wrap the lid and the box separately in wrapping paper (before going on to insert your gifts).

3. How to pack your shoe box 2. Decide if your gift is for a boy or girl Then tick the appropriate age box on the sticker provided, and stick on the outside of the lid (top right). Make sure the label is secure. Labels can be obtained from Reprographics

4. How to pack your shoe box 3. Fill your box with gifts You can use the following gift ideas.

5. Please choose from each of these 4 categories: Toys: Bear, soft toy, tennis ball, finger puppet, jigsaw, yo-yo, building blocks, small musical instrument. Knitted items For boys; trucks and cars, for girls; dolls, clip on earrings, etc.

6. Educational Supplies: Felt pens, pens, pencils, pencil sharpener, eraser, colouring book, notepad, picture or puzzle book, chalk, pencil case, stickers, etc.

7. Hygiene Items: Toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, comb, hair clips, bar of soap, flannel, etc.

8. : Other Items: Sweets (sell-by date to be at least March of the following year), gloves, scarf, sunglasses, cap, hat, bangles, necklaces etc.

9. : No Food especially chocolate - non-chocolate sweets are allowed No medicine or vitamins of any kind No war related items toy guns, soldiers or knives of any kind Please note the following items cannot be included in the shoeboxes:

10. : No clothing other than listed previously No fragile items glass containers, mirrors. No liquids including blow bubbles, shampoo, bubble bath, toiletry sets or aerosols. No dangerous items sharp objects, scissors or razors No novels Nothing of a political nature No hand-knitted stuffed toys without a CE mark

11. : All gifts should be new, please include items from each category.

12. : Make your donation If you can make a donation to help cover the cost of sending the shoeboxes, please put the money into an envelope with your Form details on and take it to the Reception Desk in the Atrium...

13. : We are asking each Form Group to pack four shoe boxes – more if possible. There will be a prize for the form in each Year group who can pack the most shoe boxes. The progress of each form will be displayed on SJP Live and in the College Atrium. How you organise filling the boxes is up to you to decide, you could collect money in your form group to buy the items or everyone can bring in something to be packed in the box

15. The final date for the packing of Shoe boxes is 2 nd November 2012 Please don’t leave it until the last minute !

16. When filled the completed shoe boxes may be taken to the Chaplains Office in the Romero Centre Please Remember to put you Year and Form details on the label on the shoe box.
