Initiated in 1996. Started to recruit international students systematically from 2004 (Clinical Medicine). In 2007, qualified to recruit “Confucius Institute Scholarship” students. In 2011, qualified to recruit MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) students. Key Facts

In 2013, qualified to recruit “Chinese Government Scholarship” students. In 2013, Ranked 90 in all Chinese Universities which recruit international students, with a total amount of 912 international students studying on CTGU campus. In 2013, Biochemistry was listed as one of the 150 National Excellent English-medium Courses for International Students. Key Facts

In 2013, successfully organized the 5th division (Sichuan, Hubei, Chongqing) of the “China Exploration—Sunshine Sports and Culture Journey for International Students” sponsored by Ministry of Education; won first prize in the 5th division and made it to the final contest. In 2014, recognized as one of the 52 National Demonstration Bases for Study in China by Ministry of Education. Key Facts

By the year 2024, the number of international students in degree programs shall reach 2,500, including 120-150 students in Ph.
