Public Relations Committee Status Report 2014-2015 PUBLIC RELATIONS PLAN Goals: Attract 3 new members in the eClub of the Carolinas Increase visibility of local and International eClub projects Provide every member with a Picture badge (Andy has been making and delivering badges to all members as he receives pictures and addresses from them) Strategies: Develop newspaper articles and provide to 4 publications in the Greenwood, SC area. This would include the Greenville News, and a few of the neighborhood papers that they publish. Also the Greenwood Paper and Travelers Rest. (Andy has suggested several Greenwood and Greenville Papers. We will make contact when time is available) Develop an article for each district newsletter on: – advantages of making up in the eClub (this article was written and submitted. We are hoping to get a testimonial from one of our make up members) Member has been contacted and am awaiting his input. Also pulled some comments from Pat Stewart’s email from November. – the fundraiser (pending) – the Honduras Water Project (pending) – the Friendship Ride to End Polio (May 3, 2015) – eClub Rotary Day Start a club brochure – Completed Should put on the web page for download.

Public Relations Committee Status Report Strategies (continued): Collect Rotary stories – In print with pictures (pending) – Web - Video clips Have obtained the Rotary PSA As Time Permits, Andy will check with local media Distribution – In Print Local Newspapers (Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Greenwood, Aiken) Local Clubs at local events – Web Page Have Asked Neo if we can put the brochure on the web page

Public Relations Committee Status Report Strategies (Continued): Keep in mind the Rotary International focus for each month. – January – Rotary Awareness Month – February – World Understanding Month – March – Literacy Month – April – Magazine Month – May – Celebrate Rotary Checking on the Habitat for Humanity Club Day coordinated with the 7750 District Conference in Greenville, SC. Virtual Club Day? – District 7750 Conference May 1-3, 2015 Greenville, SC 2015 Friendship Ride to End Polio, May 3, 2015 Location TBD Proposed Tour of BMW Plant for Polio Plus on May 1, 2015 – June – Rotary Fellowship Month Waterfall Motorcycle Ride in NC in Mid June

Public Relations Committee Status Report Strategies (Continued): Postcards (eMail?) – Start with Rotary – Send to local businesses inviting them to read the web version or get the local paper and attend the eClub Rotary meeting (should start with an email to each club in the district) Television – Public Service Announcements – PSAs Measurability: Attract 3 new members in the eClub of the Carolinas – Ask all new members what attracted them to Rotary (Submitted to Dianne for her action) – Print report that lists new members and what attracted them to Rotary and provide to the board Increase visibility of eClub Rotary projects – In Print News Paper articles (one per quarter) – Record number of articles are published by newspaper and by other methods District newsletter articles (at least one by 1 November 2014: Friendship Ride to End Polio) – Web Install counter on web pages to Count new visits per page (Neo has been asked to add this) Print report that shows count of new visits per page (pending) Post on Facebook at least 12 times, with pictures of club events (Mike Emily already does this quite a bit)
