What is Ecology? The study of interactions that take place between organisms and their environment.

Interactions What are they? How different organisms act on each other. In wetlands, living organisms interact with nonliving parts of the environment. Fish interact with the water Snails interact with the grasses Seagulls interact with snails.

Who Studies Ecology? Ecologist : A person who studies the interactions between living things (ecology) Ecologists… Teach and advise students Give advice to local, state and federal policy makers Solve environmental problems Conduct research outdoors and in laboratories Help manage natural resources
