5 Sri Lanka Culture  Tea- one of the largest tea producers in the world  Ceylon tea- served everywhere  Rice & Currry  Todon- special alcohol from palm tree sap

6 Food Culture  Pittu (fresh rice meal mixed with grated coconut, steamed in bamboo mould).  Rice  Wheat flatbread  Spicy vegetarian sauce  Yogurt  Curry  Cinnamon  Mostly vegetarian- belief in reincarnation, against cruelty to animals

7 Types of Indian Food Bengall Food- 5 essential spices: mustard, cumin seed, aniseed, black cumin seed, fenugreek seed Gujarati Food- mostly vegetarian high nutritional value Kashmiri Food- cooking originated Central Asia Mughlai Cuisine- one of most popular Punjabi Food- vegetarian and non vegetarian Rajasthani Food- very spicy South Indian Cuisine- rice based, light dishes
