In 1848, the game became more known and popular, Henry De Winton and John Charles Thring organized a meeting at Trinity College in Cambridge with a couple other representatives from other colleges. I think football has become a popular sport around the world because it is a fun sport to play and many people enjoy playing it because it’s a sport that get all your body moving and functioning. It is also a sport where you use your feet to play the game while most other sports use their hands which requires more skills than other sports ever created. Soccer also originated in Europe which is a known place around the world so it got popular for that reason too. It is a great sport to watch because its got pretty exciting events such as the FIFA World cup and it is more entertaining to people than other sports.

I think that football is played a little bit differently in each country like for example, in poor countries, footballs usually played in the streets and kids usually play it barefoot outside while in rich countries such as Qatar, they have football clubs all over the country where adults and kids can experience playing football. As for the skills, British players are physical, quick, direct while Italian players are skillful, cunning and caution regarding to this website I found, which shows other countries too;
