2  In the eastern half of the U.S.A, Canada, Europe, parts of Russia, China and Japan.

3  After the rainforest, the temperate deciduous gets the second-most amount of rainfall per year.  In the winter, precipitation (rainfall) is in the form of sleet, snow, and hail.  The 4 seasons happen because of the tilt of the earths axis.  The word Temperate means exactly what the leaves do change color in the fall, fall off in the winter and grow back in the spring.

4  It hunts birds and lizards and lays eggs.  good at climbing  Eats what other animals don’t finish eating.  good climber and can swim

5  They eat seeds and berries and lay 3 or 4 eggs.  Cardinals are strongly territorial and aggressive birds

9  The Temperate Forest gets 60 inches per year.  The rat snake adapts to the Temperate forest because it is a good climber.  The Sugar Maple survives because it’s roots absorb a lot of water.  One place the Temperate forest is located in eastern U.S.A.
