Ear Tags 1)Unique Animal ID Tag REQUIRED for movement of bred animals between farm premises or fairs Displays 15-digit identifier Unique to each animal in the world Optional printing of barn management ID on the bottom 2) Herd Mark Tag (*new) SIMPLER reporting of culled breeding swine Displays the farm’s slap tattoo number (called “Herd Mark”) Optional printing of barn management ID 2 forms of official ID for breeding pigs

Ear Tags Ear Tags (cont’d) 1)Small Unique Animal ID Tag REQUIRED for movement to fairs and exhibitions Displays 15-digit identifier Able to grow with the animal (unlawful to remove official tags) 2) Small Herd Mark Tag for Export OPTIONAL method of identifying weanlings / feeder pigs exported from Canada to U.S. Displays CPC logo with 5-digit herd mark and optional letter for birth week Tags for smaller pigs
