Diploma Requirements Located on page B (centre fold insert) 18 compulsory credits (1 each from group 1, 2 and 3) 12 elective credits Completion of the EQAO literacy test on March 29 th 40 hours community service

New for 2012-2013 Landscape Architecture THD 3M1 This will be a hands on course that will teach you the various aspects of landscape design and construction Students will have an opportunity to work in the courtyard to develop real life skills

Remedial Summer School: Monday through Friday. Full month of July. Morning classes: 9:00 am – 11:45am. Afternoon classes: 12:30 pm – 3:15 pm. Bring in report card in September.

Articulated Programs Attending college first and then university College diplomas have lots of pathways to university Can be a less expensive route Highly competitive universities and programs offer less admission and credits See individual college handbooks for details See sample

College Degrees Community Colleges offer degrees that fulfill the same government requirements as University degrees (can be used to apply to Teacher’s College, Grad. school etc.) Most have well paid co-op opportunities that usually turn into full time jobs Usually have chances for overseas opportunities See sample

Apprenticeship 16 year olds with 16 credits can start the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) Choose co-op on option sheet to register with OYAP and learn valuable skills that will contribute to successful completion of Certificate of Qualification There are 157 apprenticeships recognized by the Ministry of Training Red Seal program allows for greater mobility of skilled workers across Canada (currently there are 46 Red Seal trades)
