4 Home Work Typical day’s homework will include LA, math, projects, S.S, science, and 30 mins. of reading The students will have homework nightly, occasionally homework could be given over the weekend If there is ever anything your student is having a hard time with and you are unable to help them, please send me a note, or an e-mail letting me know. If absent, student has 2 days to complete the HW MISSING/ INCOMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS Every night students are required to complete assigned homework in its entirety (unless is an ongoing project in which case your child will have a due date assigned). In the event that your child has an incomplete or missing assignment, a homework alert will be issued. This notice will be completed by the student and will be sent home for your signature. The completed assignment must be returned the next day with the homework alert signed. If your student brings home a homework alert, please sit down and discuss with them the importance of staying on task and on time. These alerts are designed to teach responsibility and used as a means of parent-teacher communication to ensure that your child quickly form healthy homework habits. If your student is bringing home these notices, more care must be taken to check your child’s planner and homework assignment nightly.

5 Discipline Behavior: We will be using the ADOPT program A=Not paying Attention D= Not following Directions O= Being Off Task P= Playing AROUND (self-control) T= Talking * Whenever a student is not following the ADOPT standards, the appropriate letter will be written on the seating chart next to their name and they lose $2. * At the end of 1 week, I will tally the total of letters given and send home a report to you.
