Key Stage 3 Review There will be continued focus on the core subjects English, maths and science Programmes of study in foundation subjects are being reviewed Tests will continue in the core subjects,with an additional online test in ICT from 2008 Teacher assessment in foundation subjects will be moderated, and a bank of standardised optional tests and activities will be developed

Specialised Diplomas From 2008:  ICT (Information Communication Technology)  engineering  health and social care  creative and media industries  construction and the built environment from 2009:  land based and environmental  manufacturing  hair and beauty  business administration and finance  hospitality and catering from September 2010:  in public services,  sport and leisure,  retail  travel and tourism.
