3. 2011 has been a good year …just like all years Ps 65:11 You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance. NKJV

5. 2012, Are you ready?  Many have suggested that 2012 will bring some devastating/cataclysmic event. …just like all years.

6. 634 BC: Many Romans predicted end of the world based on a legend of Romulus and 12 eagles. 66: The Essenes believed their revolt against Rome would be the final end- time battle. 365: Hillary of Poitiers, Gaul (France) predicts this year would be our last. 848: The “prophetess” Thiota predicted this to be the end. 1000: Pope Sylvester II. 1260: Joachim of Fiore converted the 1260 days of Rev. 12:6 to years and you get the end of the “Age of the Son”. 1524: Astrologer and mathematician, Johannes Stöffler thought a planetary alignment might signal the new millennium. 1688-1700 J ohn Napier, using mathematics and Revelations to decide when the apocalypse would occur. 1792: The Shakers predicted the millennium would come this year. Tried again in 1794. 1844: Adventist William Miller predicted Christ would come again on October 22. 1860s: John Cumming, a Scottish clergyman predicted that the Judgment day would come between 1848- 1867. 1874: Charles T. Russell first attempt at prophecy. He would fail again in 1878, 1881, 1914, 1916, and 1920. 1925: Judge Rutherford would take over Russell’s mantle of failed end-time predictions. JWs would try again in 41,53,75,and 84. 1970: Hal Lindsey published The Late Great Planet Earth, followed in 1980 with, 1980s: Countdown to Armegeddon 1988: Former NASA engineer, Edgar C. Whisenant publishes 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will Be in 1988. Tries again in ‘89, ‘93 and ‘94. 1991: Louis Farrakhan predicted the Gulf War would lead to Armageddon. 1999-2000: A long list of predictions including, Lindsey, Tim LaHaye, Jerry Falwell, Nostradamus, Isaac Newton, and JWs. Galactic Alignment, Mesoamerican Long Count calendar Geomagnetic reversal Collision with planet Nibiru or some Alien invasion Engulfed by a giant supernova.

8. 2012, Are you ready?  Christ will come again …we just don’t know when. 2 Peter 3:10 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11 Matt 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father… 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. NKJV

9. 2012, Are you ready?  We must be active in 2012 … just like every year. Eph 5:14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.“ 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. NKJV

10. We must “REDEEM” 2012  Will 2012 Be the year that you… Walk circumspectly? Eph 5:15 Walk as wise? Eph 5:15; Col 4:15 Are an example to others? Matt. 5:13-16 Teach someone else? 1 Peter 3:15 Think of others first? Gal. 6:10 Devote to prayer? Eph 5:20 Read your Bible? Acts 17:11 Resolve to attend the services? Heb 10:25

11. Or will 2012 Be the year that you waste … just like every other year? Proverbs 6 9 How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? 10 A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep -- 11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man. NKJV

12. 2012, Are you ready? 2 Peter 3:11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. NKJV
